Who is Sonae’s Ombudsperson?

Marta Cordeiro Cunha is Sonae’s Ombudsperson since January 2021, also integrating Sonae’s Ethics Committee.


Experience and Education

Marta Cordeiro e Cunha developed her 20 years of experience at Sonae, on a path marked by the development of tasks for which listening to audiences is a vital factor for success. She began her career in the retail sector and went through various areas such as price management, commercial or logistics management. More recently she was responsible for the area of Innovation in Retail Management, created and led Sonae MC’s Customer Direction and is, since November 2019, in charge of Brand, Communication and Sustainability at Sonae.

At the same time as she works at Sonae, Marta Cordeiro e Cunha is a speaker and trainer in some of the most prestigious schools of management in areas such as innovation, creativity and customer centricity. She has a degree from Faculdade de Economia at Porto University and, in 2014, she finished an Executive MBA at Porto Business School, ending up winning the MBA Student of the World Award, given by the Association of MBAs.
