Cláudia Azevedo
Cláudia has served as Chief Executive Officer of Sonae since April 2019.
Cláudia has been with Sonae since 1994, having held several positions in different businesses and sectors. Cláudia began her professional career at Sonae with the Universo credit card project, and in 1998 became responsible for the Consumer business unit and Marketing at Optimus.
Between 2001 and 2018, Cláudia led Sonae Investment Management, a company dedicated to managing investments in information technology for retail and telecommunications. In 2013, Cláudia was appointed CEO of Sonae Capital, a publicly listed company with a diversified portfolio of investments in energy, real estate, tourism, fitness and industry.
Cláudia currently acts as Board member of several other companies, including Efanor, Sonae MC, Worten, Sonae Fashion, Sonae FS, Sonae Sierra, NOS, SonaeCom and Sonae Capital, among others.
Cláudia holds a Bachelor degree in Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, an MBA from INSEAD and has attended several management courses at Harvard University and Stanford University.

João Dolores
João has served as Chief Financial Officer of Sonae since April 2019.
João joined Sonae in 2014 to lead the Corporate Strategy team, having been responsible for strategic planning in collaboration with the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. In 2015, João also became responsible for Planning and Control at the holding company.
João currently acts as a Board member of several other group companies, including NOS, Sonaecom, Sonae MC, Worten, Sonae Fashion, Sonae FS and Sonae Sierra.
João holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Porto and an MBA from London Business School, having attended several executive management courses at New York University, Wharton School of Business and Chicago Booth.
Before joining Sonae, João worked at JW Burmester S.A., McKinsey & Company and Portugal Telecom.

João Günther Amaral
João has served as Chief Development Officer and Deputy to Sonae’s Executive Committee since April 2019.

Since 2001, João has worked in different companies and positions at Sonae, providing him with a global knowledge of the group. Between 2001 and 2014, he held the positions of Information Systems Analyst, Information Systems Manager, Innovation Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager.
Between 2014 and 2019, he was a member of Sonae MC’s Executive Committee. He was previously responsible for Logistics, Production Centres and Supply Chain Management. In 2017, he also became Sonae MC’s CIO.
João has an MSc and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and an Executive MBA from Porto Business School. He has attended several executive management courses at London Business School, Stanford University and Singularity University.
Before joining Sonae, he worked at Agência de Inovação, S.A. and Leica Camera AG, leading the IT function in both organisations.
